The Co-Opinion Task Force (2016-17) scrutinizes one of the major issues that the youth face in the Middle East & North Africa: youth unemployment. As the region experiences the highest youth unemployment rate in the world, the Task Force will unbundle the topic and analyze its dimensions by organizing thematic workshops, panels, and bilateral meetings as well as engaging in research activities. Five sub-themes are pinpointed: regional development & refugee crisis; skills mismatch & education policies; sustainable & inclusive growth; new social policies; and discrimination in employment. This workshop focuses on regional development & refugee crisis.
